She knows how to make good trouble
In 2018, after Democrat Stacey Abrams narrowly lost to now-Governor Brian Kemp, protests were staged in Georgia’s state Capitol by Democrats who were not pleased by what they saw as malpractices such as voter suppression.
Williams was one of the leaders of the protest. She was arrested in the fashion of what Lewis himself would call “causing good trouble” where one is convinced of injustice.
But that incident is only one of many where Williams has so far shown herself fearless and standing up for her convictions.
