The ancient Egyptian civilisation spanning some 32 dynasties remains an epoch moment in African civilisation akin to what Rome and Greece is to European civilisation. Take them out and Europe’s history is hollow.
In its decline, ancient Egypt was invaded by Alexander the Greek, naming the city Alexandria after himself, but crucially in the town was the greatest library in the classical world, founded in 295 BC. The library held the list of kings of the dynasties, rites, technological inventions and other notable documents. Egypt was also the first civilisation to devise an all-year calendar.
The Egyptians had advanced knowledge in fields such as astronomy, physics and mathematics such that the three pyramids of Giza align directly with the Orion’s Belt alias Three Kings constellation. The intricate details of the pyramids and their mathematical accuracy has so astounded neophytes and seasoned professionals that some ascribe the architecture feats to extra-terrestrial assistance.
