Hip-Hop Meets Academics: 7 times rap culture was incorporated in college courses

“Black Women, Beyoncé, and Popular Culture”

One of many courses about Beyoncè is being taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio by Professor Kinitra Brooks. According to the Cosmopolitan, the class will “explore the theoretical, historical, and literary frameworks of black feminism.”

Rutgers University also offered a course about the illustrious star in 2014 named, “Politicizing Beyoncé.”
