Renowned singer and beauty mogul Rihanna has opened up about her postpartum hair loss journey in an interview with Refinery29. The “Diamonds” singer said she faced unexpected hair loss in waves following the births of her sons, Rza and Riot.

“I didn’t expect it to happen in waves. I thought it would just happen and grow back,” said the 36-year-old Grammy winner. She described the experience as something “not on the pamphlet” for post-pregnancy and admitted to feeling frustrated when her hair started falling out in patches.

Rihanna turned her postpartum hair loss into an opportunity for creativity, experimenting with diverse hairstyles such as high ponytails, long curls, honey-blonde bangs, and natural curls.

This personal experience led her to launch Fenty Hair, a new line of hair care products aimed at repairing and strengthening hair. The line features shampoos, conditioners, and treatments designed for all hair types to promote healthy growth and repair damage, according to Express Tribune.

At the Fenty Hair launch party, Rihanna described the creation of the haircare line as challenging yet rewarding. She pledged her commitment to developing effective products that align with her personal hair routine and cater to the needs of her diverse fanbase.

“Evolving as a woman and even as an artist, hair has been such a huge part of that and a reflection of whatever I’m feeling,” she shared. “So, it changes a lot and my hair goes through a lot. In making this brand, I had to consider all of those things. I want to look fly, but I want my hair to be healthy. How do I do that? All of my products need to strengthen and repair while I’m out just being fabulous.”

Rihanna’s Fenty Hair line aims to empower individuals to express themselves while maintaining healthy and strong hair. Now available for purchase, the line offers a wide range of products to meet various hair needs and preferences.
