WASHINGTON, D.C., -(June 13, 2014) – On Friday, June 27, 2014, at 6:30pm, Quality Health Africa (QHA) will host an Inaugural Reception at the Embassy of Ghana located at 3512 International Dr. NW, Washington, DC 20008. The reception is part of a series of events that will occur throughout the weekend of the 27th in support of QHA’s mission to improve the quality of Africa’s healthcare system. On Saturday QHA will also host Breast Cancer Awareness hike at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia starting at 7:00 and a celebratory BBQ at 5pm.
Quality Health Africa is a nonprofit organization founded by Sgt. Erwin Boateng an active duty US Marine Corps war veteran who was inspired by after the loss of family member to breast cancer poor healthcare system. QHA’s mission is to improve the quality of Africa’s through education and advocacy, renovating old hospitals, and building cancer-screening centers to increase early detection and immediate treatment of cancer. Since its inception in 2013, QHA has already garnered support nationally and internationally.
The reception will showcase the genuinely authentic African tradition through cultural performances, great music, and scrumptious African cuisine while networking and laying a solid platform to change the devastating nature of Africa’s healthcare system.
