Miss Ghana 1957 –Monica Amekoafia
Soon after gaining independence, Ghana held its first beauty pageant, Miss Ghana 1957.
The pageant was won by 23-year-old Monica Amekoafia.
She represented then Trans-Volta Togoland (Volta Region).
