A college student in Senegal found himself in the grips of the law over the weekend after he was arrested for disguising himself as a woman in an attempt to write an English exam for his girlfriend, BBC reported.

Photos of Khadim Mboup that were circulated on social media as well as other local news outlets after he was busted show the 22-year-old male wearing a red dress and a matching headscarf. A black scarf also hangs on his neck and he appears to be wearing a brassiere.

After he was exposed, Mboup reportedly said he decided to disguise himself and sit the exams for his girlfriend “out of love” as she wasn’t conversant in English. Mboup and his girlfriend, who authorities claim was an accomplice, have been charged with identity theft and exam fraud.

He appeared before a court in the West African nation on Monday.
