Jamaicans only listen to reggae
Bob Marley, one of the most popular Jamaicans known the world over, was a reggae artiste. That is where this stereotype probably stems from. Reggae may be loved by the islanders, but it is not the only music they listen to.
On the contrary, Jamaicans like every other nationality have different tastes in music as well. Jamaican radio stations blurt out R&B, jazz and even Electronic Dance Music (EDM). So next time you want to say Jamaicans listen to only reggae, you may want to rethink that though.
