Rapsody

Dedicating her most recent album to women, Rapsody, real name Marlanna Evans, is known for her “intricate rhyme patterns, metaphors, and wordplay.” From Snow Hill, North Carolina, she launched her solo career in 2008 after signing with 9th Wonder’s It’s A Wonderful World Music Group. Her album Laila’s Wisdom received two Grammy Award nominations, for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song.
