Cameroon
Cameroon takes the top position as the most neglected country in the world with severe political crises. The country’s English speaking parts have for over 4 years been in severe disputes with its government and separatists. Clashes have killed 1,850, displaced over 500,000, kept 780,000 children out of school and led tens of thousands to seek refuge abroad. The country is also affected by two other crises: a displacement crisis in the north as a result of Boko Haram’s violence, and a refugee crisis in the east, where a large number of people from the Central African Republic have sought protection. Crises in the country is already eating into neighbouring countries such as Nigeria and the Central African Republic which are already facing internal crises.
