The “America is fine for all” fallacy

The president of the United States does not understand that some people have concerns about their places in the country. In response to criticisms of the US by US nationals, Trump literally tells these critics to go back to where they came from.

He demands loyalty and gratitude from certain Americans. The bit about gratitude is most dizzying since those who are asked to be grateful are the descendants of those to whom America has shown so much ingratitude.

When racists and race segregationists marched to chants of white supremacy, Trump shot back at those who felt unsafe and dared to voice their fears. Like political conservatives, Trump cannot stand criticisms of America, much less from those he seeks to entice to vote for him.

The contradiction here is apparent to all but the president himself.
