Trump impersonator, Sarah Cooper, gets her own Netflix comedy special

Sarah Cooper, who impersonates Donald Trump on TikTok has received a Netflix Comedy Special deal. “Sarah Cooper will bring her unique talent to Netflix with Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine, a variety special full of vignettes dealing with issues of politics, race, gender, class, and other light subjects,” the streaming giant announced.

The special which will also feature special guest interviews, sketches and more, will premiere globally this fall.

“Everything’s Fine” will be directed by Natasha Lyonne with Maya Rudolph, Danielle Renfrew Behrens and Lyonne executive producing through their production company Animal Pictures in addition to Cooper and Paula Pell. Chris Burns of AGI Entertainment and Dan Powell of Irony Point will also serve as executive producers.

The comedian and best-selling author went viral in April for her humorous lip-sync impressions of the US President in a series of videos on TikTok. Cooper’s videos lip-syncing to Donald Trump’s head-scratching public statements have been viewed by tens of millions of people globally.

Her “How to Medical” video alone has been viewed over 20 million times.  Her social platform has since grown to millions of followers in less than two months.

Cooper posted other videos impersonating Trump, like when he discussed ultraviolet light being a potential coronavirus treatment and the United States having the most confirmed virus cases in the world.

In June Cooper signed with entertainment powerhouse WME. She appeared on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’ and she also hosted an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Cooper is also a writer and correspondent on the CBS ALL ACCESS pilot OLD NEWS, produced by Stephen Colbert. Cooper wrote the best-selling books “100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings” and “How to be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings.”

Cooper is next set to pen a modern, comedic take on a Dale Carnegie book for Audible Originals.
