Trinidad and Tobago has one of the world’s hottest chili peppers
Now, what is a world without flavor? Trinidad and Tobago’s Moruga scorpion chili pepper registering 1.2 million Scoville heat units on the Scoville Scale was the hottest pepper in the world in 2012 until it was overthrown by the discovery of Carolina Reaper in 2013 which registered 2.2 million Scoville heat units. If you cannot survive on the ‘hot’ side of the scale, stick with jalapenos which register just about 5000 units.
