In a Waffle House in the 6500 block of Highway 85, a Georgia woman posing as an employee worked for two hours before taking money from the register and leaving, according to a police report.

According to the Riverdale Police Department, the anonymous woman walked into a Waffle House in Riverdale, Clayton County, and proceeded to work there for two hours despite not being an employee.

On CCTV, the woman was seen accessing the register tablet, opening the register, and stealing cash.

So far, the police have released an image of her from CCTV footage and are requesting that anyone who recognizes her contact them.

In the caption, they wrote: “Riverdale Police are investigating a theft. Do you know me? On December 12, 2023, at approximately 7PM, the unidentified female pretended to work at the Waffle House located at 6544 Hwy 85; Riverdale, Clayton County, Georgia 30274. She proceeded to work 2 hours before being captured on CCTV accessing the register tablet, opening the register, and stealing cash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mendoza at (770)-996-3382.”

Though the police told NBC they have identified a likely culprit, her identity is being suppressed until the sheriff’s office can serve a warrant.
