Looks like Black Panther was one of the many things that crossed over into the new year and we at Face2Face Africa are not surprised because Wakanda is really Forever.

With 2019 in the baby days of its first quarter, the prestigious awards season has just begun and many movie and music award academies are gearing up for another set of memorable award shows with the Golden Globes setting the pace and standards high.

According to the Grape Vine, The Golden Globes released an official press release with Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B Jordan and Sterling K Brown as presenters to create a buzz a few days to this year’s grand event.

The 76th Golden Globe Awards is scheduled to hold on January 6, 2019, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and will be shown live on NBC between 5-8 p.m. PT and 8-11 p.m. ET. The three-hour long ceremony will award the best of the best in the movie industry for 2018.

The Black Panther team will not just be presenting at the award ceremony, but hopefully picking up all three or a few of the three awards in the categories that the movie was nominated.

In case you missed it, Black Panther is in the run to grab a Golden Globe for
for the best dramatic picture, original score, and original song and it will be great to see the stars on stage a few more times.

The Black Panther stars will not be the only Melanins representing at this year’s ceremony. Other presenters for the night include Idris Elba, whose 17-year-old daughter, Isan Elba is the Golden Globe Ambassador for 2019, Taraji P Henson, Octavia Spencer, Halle Berry and Lena Waithe just to mention a few.

On December 6, 2018, Black Panther co-cast Danai Gurira pioneered the Golden Globe black presence as the presenter for the nominees for the main event which is in 2 days.
