These African countries are among the world’s 20 best places to visit in 2020

Ovation Travel Group’s agents have compiled an exclusive list of the top leisure destinations for FORBES.

The list was based on sales and client aspirations with three African countries deservedly making the cut.

According to the CEO of Ovation Travel Group, Paul Metselaar, International travel is a big trend for 2020 and his agency has experienced “elevated demand for international travel,” which has made demand soar by 40% from last year.

According to the U.S. Commerce Department’s National Travel and Tourism Office, the development has reflected in the overall travel trends.

The ‘Africa Three’ placed third, fifth and sixth in the league which ranked as follows: 1. Amangiri/Lake Powell, Utah/Antelope Canyon, Arizona 2. Palermo/Sicily, Italy       4. Bariloche/Patagonia, Argentina   7. Porto/Douro Valley, Portugal 8. Tel Aviv, Israel    9. Atacama Desert, Chile     10. Dubrovnik, Croatia          11. Tokyo, Japan      12. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 13. Kotor, Montenegro   14. Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Mexico 15. Chiang Mai, Thailand        16. Machu Picchu/Cusco, Peru 17. Melbourne, Australia      18.  Mendoza, Argentina    19. Vira Vira, Chile    20. San Miguel del Allende, Mexico
