A White Virginia woman has been fired from her job at the Chesterfield Food Bank after she was caught on video telling her Black neighbor she’s “not the right color” during an altercation in their Colonial Heights neighborhood.

In the video of the incident, the White woman can be seen standing on the Black woman’s front porch with a cell phone in her right ear while yelling, “Watch me handle this.” She’s then heard telling the Black woman, “You’re not the right color honey.” When the Black woman responds by asking, “I’m a n***er?”, the White woman is heard replying, “Yes, you are!”

Though the incident did not happen at the White woman’s place of work, her employers still moved to fire her after they got to know about the altercation, The Progress-Index reported. The video in question was shared on a private neighborhood Facebook page.

“It was between neighbors,” CFB CEO Kim Hill told the news outlet. “It is still sad and an unfortunate situation.”

Addressing the incident further on CFB’s Facebook page, Hill said the company was “broken-hearted” after seeing the video and the former employee’s conduct “goes directly against our values and beliefs.”

“In response to this situation, we have terminated this employee,” she continued. “We remain committed to creating and providing a positive, uplifting, and encouraging environment for our staff, volunteers, and clients.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Black woman, identified as 30-year-old Laquetta Good, said the incident stemmed from ongoing tensions between the two of them as a result of their children being at loggerheads. Good said her persistent dispute with the White woman has made her “feel like a prisoner in my own home.”

“She has called me many names before but to hear her being racist, that really shocked me,” she said. “You should be able to feel comfortable in your own home. This is not acceptable. We still have a long way to go as a society for equality.”

Good also accused the White woman of once calling the police on her because she suspected she was a drug dealer. The Black mother alleged her White neighbor said that was the only way she could afford her house and luxury vehicle, New York Daily News reported.

“Let’s rewind back to the beginning when she called the police to search my house for drugs because her words were I couldn’t afford my house, I never leave the house so I had to sell drugs because I’m black and had a Porsche,” Good reportedly posted on Facebook. “Yes the POLICE SURE DID SEARCH MY HOUSE FOR DRUGS SMH. No drugs were found I work from home!! This has been going on for MONTHS.”
