Poem: Listen to the Spirit

Know when your Soul is indeed troubled

Dear Spirit,

That keeps adjusting to this mold,

Our world has gotten beautiful and cold,

Praising new ideas and philosophies being sold.

Marginalized were we and are we just because

Yet resilient is the spirit of Truth as it unfolds.

To the days to come as eternity turns old {…}

If only you knew- as we were listening to folks.

This is to new beginnings

Africans are waking up to a beautiful lore

Capturing dawn and rebuilding from the roof to the floor.

A thought that was crossing our minds, no cheap talk!

Legends over tales and fables [unless it’s a folklore].
