A Houston woman, who disappeared on March 6 after she took her dog for a walk, was recently found. Face2Face Africa previously reported that 27-year-old Christina Johnson’s dog Max was found 10 days after her disappearance.
But it was later established that was not her dog as the canine only resembled Max, Click2Houston reported. Christina’s father, Emmanuel Johnson, said his daughter was found not too far from the University of Houston around Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
Emmanuel Johnson also said his daughter is currently safe, adding that he’ll provide more details later. Houston police said they’re still investigating the case.
After being reported missing, Emmanuel Johnson told KHOU in a previous interview that her daughter’s disappearance had created “real confusion and a sense of loss right now.”
The dog mistaken for Max was found around Briar Forest, six miles from the family’s Alief home. Her father said there was no way she would abandon her dog under such circumstances.
He further stated that Christina’s daily ritual involved going to work at a Jack in the Box along Dairy Ashford or the Hackberry Community Center. He said his daughter always carried her computer and also went to those locations with her dog.
“She usually comes home before the evening but didn’t come back that evening,” said Emmanuel Johnson.
Christina attended West Virginia’s Alderson Broaddus University and is a former tennis champion, KHOU reported. Emmanuel said her daughter was in the process of deciding what to subsequently do after graduating and coming back home.
