Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t the type to keep her feelings bottled up as she occasionally takes to social media to express those sentiments. But there was a twist on Monday as the 52-year-old actress shared a cryptic post about relationships on Instagram before she made her account private.
“A man can CHOOSE to belong to someone,” The Matrix Reloaded star shared, E! News reported. “And if he does… he is considered noble. A woman is told she MUST belong to someone or … she is not worthy.”
She subsequently expatiated her thoughts in her caption. “Even in some of our great religious traditions the goddess is rendered powerless without her male counterpart. And in others, the spiritual influence of the feminine, of Mother … is not even recognized,” she wrote.
“We mere mortal women are worthy simply because we exist!” she added. “And those of us who have cultivated our Queendom within our inner kingdom and have a deep relationship with the Great Supreme … if we so CHOOSE to bond with someone from this space … we will erect monumental love and give birth to treasures.”

The 52-year-old, who shares two children with seasoned actor Will Smith, ended by encouraging her followers to refrain from bonding “in fear” because they’re “greatness.” Jada has, however, not disclosed why she made her Instagram account private.
Jada and Will have been very outspoken about their marriage and even shared details of some of their ups and downs. In 2020, Jada stirred controversy after singer August Alsina dropped a bombshell claiming that he had a romantic relationship with the 52-year-old, Face2Face Africa reported at the time.
In the aftermath of the revelation, which became a huge talking point on social media, Jada moved to address the Benediction singer’s claims on her Facebook show, Red Table Talk, with her estranged husband, Will.
During the sit-in with Will, Jada, sort of, confirmed their relationship but revealed it happened when she and Will had temporarily split and were “going through a very difficult time.” That, however, wasn’t the highlight of the talk.
Though Jada confirmed the relationship, she appeared to play it down and chose to describe it with a word that later became a social media jargon – Entanglement.
In a 2023 interview with Hoda Kotb to promote her Worthy memoir, Jada also dropped another bombshell when she disclosed she and Will had actually been separated for seven years, Face2Face Africa reported.

But, what kept her going was her commitment to never find a reason for divorce and pledging to work through any challenges. She added that despite the difficulties, she was determined to keep that promise.
