WNBA star Angel Reese has revealed she pays an annual rent of $96,000, which far exceeds her current $74,000 salary per year from the league.
The Chicago Sky forward shared the details during an Instagram Live session on Tuesday, and explained that her income as a WNBA player alone is far from enough to cover the lifestyle she wants to live.
“The WNBA doesn’t pay my bills at all,” Reese said. “I don’t even think that pays one of my bills. Literally.”
According to a Complex report, Reese then later spoke to a friend off camera who helped her in calculating her annual her rent. After she found out the intriguing figure compared to her salary, she then laughed and said : “I’m living beyond my means.” She shared that her monthly rent is $8,000, which far outpaces her current league salary. “That WNBA check doesn’t pay a thing,” she added.

Despite the disparity, Angel Reese has been able to supplement her income with multiple brand deals and also her podcast.
The WNBA star reportedly holds close to 20 endorsement deals and also boasts of a NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) value of $1.8 million at only 22.
As of April, Spotrac reported Angel Reese’s four-year contract with the Chicago Sky is worth $324,383, with her salary increasing each year, starting at $73,439 in her first season and eventually reaching $93,636 by the fourth year.
Reese remains optimistic about her financial future, ending the conversation by saying, “We’re gonna make more money, though.”
