Former Olympian and Gladiators star Jennifer Stoute, widely known as “Rebel,” has built an astonishing fortune since her days on the hit TV show from 1996 to 1999.
59-year-old Stoute, who is a former English sprinter, represented Great Britain on the international front for more than a decade.
She clinched a gold medal at the 1990 Commonwealth Games and went on to earn bronze in the 4x400m relay at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

In 1993, Stoute unfortunately suffered a severe hamstring injury that sidelined her career temporarily.
Three years later, she joined ‘Gladiators’, where she quickly became a fan favorite as ‘Rebel’ and excelled in events like Powerball, Pendulum, and The Wall.
After leaving the show in 1999, Stoute appeared in the Ridley Scott blockbuster ‘Gladiator’. Today, she is the head of Astra Partners, a successful sports management firm with an estimated value of £3.8 million.
In addition to her businesses, Stoute has appeared in beauty campaigns for brands like Garnier and Look Fantastic and also serves as an ambassador for Pro-Ven Probiotic.
She co-owns Astra Partners with her ex-husband, 58-year-old world champion sprinter John Regis MBE.
Stoute and Regis share two children who have also pursued athletic careers. 19-year-old Renee Regis competes in track and field for Britain, while 22-year-old Alicia Jazmin Regis has established a career in health and fitness.
According to reports, Stoute is in a happy relationship with Ian Laughton, who is a construction company owner.
She briefly returned to the spotlight for Sky One’s revival of Gladiators in 2008 to 2009 and described the experience as “one of the best decisions” of her life.
In an interview with The Mirror, Jennifer Stoute recalled learning the show was ending while flying back from a holiday in Mauritius with host Ulrika Jonsson. “Ulrika said ‘Jennifer, do you know that we haven’t got a job?’” the Olympian shared. “I was like, ‘What?’ It just finished like that without even giving us a warning.”
The Olympian remains close with Jonsson and serves as the godmother to her 16-year-old son, Malcolm.
According to a WhatsNew2Day report, news of Stoute’s fortune comes shortly after reports that fellow ‘Gladiators’ star Falcon, real name Bernadette Hunt, left nearly £300,000 in her will. Hunt, who passed away in March 2023 after a long battle with cancer, was a key figure on ‘Gladiators’ from 1993 until the show’s end.
