Former NFL star Ryan Clark has revealed that the highlight of his sports career isn’t tied to his own achievements but rather to his son, Jordan Clark, who is set to play in the 2025 National Championship game.

Clark says he is saving the honor for his son Jordan’s appearance in the National Championship game.

Only days before Notre Dame faces Ohio State in the highly anticipated clash, the 45-year-old former Pro Bowler opened up on his expectations for the game and his son, Jordan, 23, who is a safety.

“I’m just proud of what he’s been able to accomplish,” Ryan told TMZ. “What him and his teammates have been able to do this year.”

Notre Dame approaches this game as underdogs, as most betting outlets have tipped Ohio to grab the win on the big day.

Nonetheless, many expect it to be a competitive contest, and for Ryan, he is choosing not to allow the outcome to overshadow how huge the moment is for his son.

“It will be, from a football standpoint, the most important night in my family’s lives,” he said. Clark went on to say that his era varies from that of his son, yet witnessing Jordan’s journey to the top will be enough for him.

He went on to add that he didn’t cry when his Steelers won Super Bowl XLIII. However, when Jordan and Notre Dame captured wins in the Sugar and Orange Bowl, he just couldn’t hold back his emotion.

“I couldn’t fight back tears just to see him so excited and so happy for the journey he was going on,” Clark stated.

Regardless of the final score, Ryan says seeing Jordan on college football’s grandest stage will be his “best sports moment, and the years ahead of him can only get better.”

For the Clarks, it’s more than just football and they will be there to see Jordan live his dream at the National Championship game.
