Kendrick Lamar will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, set for Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome, according to an announcement from Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL.
The performance, set to air live on FOX portrays the efficiency of the Grammy and Emmy Award-winning artist, known for his groundbreaking music and cultural influence. Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, founder of Roc Nation, praised Lamar’s unique impact in a statement, and said: “Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer.”
“His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come”, Carter added.

Lamar, who gained international recognition with his 2012 album good kid, m.A.A.d city, has won 17 Grammy Awards and made history as the first non-classical, non-jazz artist to receive a Pulitzer Prize, for his 2017 album DAMN. His recent Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers, “Like That” and “Not Like Us,” further solidified his dominance in the music industry.
“Few artists have impacted music and culture as profoundly as Kendrick Lamar,” said Seth Dudowsky, NFL head of music. “Time and time again, Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop.”
Lamar’s performance will be produced by DPS, with creative direction led by his company pgLang. Roc Nation’s Jesse Collins will serve as executive producer, and Hamish Hamilton will direct the broadcast.
“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date, and I’ll be there to remind the world why,” Lamar said in a statement. “They got the right one.”
