President Obama's Half Brother To Run for Governor in Kenya

President Barack Obama’s Kenyan half brother, Malik Obama last week announced his plans to go into politics with hopes of bringing change to his country.  Inspired by his brother, the 54-year-old economist with no prior political experience says he will be seeking a gubernatorial seat in the county of Syria this March.

Talking to the AFPM Malik Obama said “When I look at the success that my brother has had in America, I feel I would have let down my people if I do not follow in his footsteps and end their suffering through dedicated, honest and focused leadership.”

However Malik Obama has been criticized for merely taking advantage of his brother’s hard President Obama's Half Brother To Run for Governor in Kenyaearned success with perhaps, no real objective behind his political aspiration.

Malik asserts that his last name, Obama, will only help him bring the type of resources and assistance that is needed to develop the poverty stricken county of Syria where he is seeking a seat.

Although he faces several accusations including taking a 19-year-old school girl as his third wife, it is too soon to determine if Malik Obama will be able to fuel the spirit of change and hope in his country as Barack Obama did in the United States.

We certainly hope so, and wish him the best in this endeavor.
