Ethiopian Wolf

The Ethiopian wolf, also known as the Simien jackal, is one of the rarest species in the world. It’s found around the East African Rift Valley and the Bale Mountains. Conservation experts estimate that only about 500 remain in the world. In 1996, the Ethiopian wolf was classified as critically endangered, but that classification was changed to endangered in 2004 as its population has made significant rebounds.
