Ghanaian Guinness World Record holder for the Youngest Male Artist Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah was recently recognized as a Global Child Prodigy in Art at the British Parliament, in honor of his outstanding achievements in the arts.
The two-year-old was named among the world’s Top 100 Child Prodigies at the prestigious Global Child Prodigy Awards 2025, organized on June 26, 2025, at the Members’ Dining Room of the House of Commons, British Parliament in London.
Ace-Liam, whose paintings are part of major collections worldwide, is now a member of an iconic group of global child prodigies honored for their amazing feats in various fields, including arts, music, science, sports, and social impact.
Young talents from over 130 countries, including Ace-Liam were present at this year’s event, the third time the Global Child Prodigy Awards was being held.
Prashant Pandey, Founder & CEO of the Global Child Prodigy Awards, said of the awards, “Every child we honour proves that age is no barrier to extraordinary achievements. This platform exists to inspire and elevate young talents like Ace-Liam to continue pushing boundaries.”
Ace-Liam clinched the Guinness World Record for the Youngest Male Artist in May 2024. The record, previously held by a 3-year-old, was achieved during attempts made in Ghana’s capital Accra between January 18 and January 20, 2024.
Chantelle Eghan, the mother of Ace-Liam, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ghanaian community for their support during her son’s record-breaking attempt.
Little Ace-Liam began painting at just six months old. The previous record holder, Dante Lamb, attained the feat at the age of three back in 2003. Dante’s abstract paintings are now displayed at the Monkey Love Dessert Bar in Georgia.
Ace-Liam’s mother said that as part of the attempt at breaking the record, Ace-Liam had to participate in an art exhibition and sell some of his paintings, as it was a requirement, according to the BBC. They also had to submit evidence of the artwork sales to Guinness World Records, along with other information.
This led his mother to participate in the SoundOut Premium Art Exhibition held in Ghana from December 15, 2023, to January 21, 2024. Ace-Liam’s mother also clarified that “the paintings done by the child are abstract paintings.”
At least nine paintings created by the Ace-Liam were included in the exhibition, all of which were purchased by attendees. Some patrons from the U.S. and the UK also acquired some of Ace-Liam’s paintings.
The then-First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, received one of the child’s paintings. The young genius is among other Ghanaians who have broken records, including 29-year-old Abubakar Tahiru, who secured the title for the most trees hugged in an hour.
