Tiger Woods

Before 2009, nothing could go wrong for Tiger Woods. This, however, changed after Woods was involved in a one-car accident that brought a minor traffic violation leveled against him. Soon, he faced allegations of marital infidelity.

The minor traffic accident and an argument with his then-wife, Elin Nordegren, opened the gates to dozens of women who came forward, alleging that they had sexual relationships with the golfer.

A few months later, Woods released a statement apologizing for his “infidelity” after he disclosed that he had engaged in a number of extramarital affairs; some adult film stars. Woods lost a significant number of sponsors, including Gatorade, AT&T, Accenture, and Tag Heuer.

Before the scandal, he was the no. 1 ranked golfer in the world. He plummeted in the rankings, reaching an all-time low of #1,199 by December of 2017. The 43-year-old recently got back into the limelight, winning his first Masters after more than a decade.
