Nse Ikpe Etim is another shining star. Born in Akwa Ibom, Etim has a first degree in Theater Arts from the University of Calabar where she initially started her acting career. After taking a break from the film industry to venture into other endeavors, she came back into acting in full force.

Just as the other prominent names mentioned, Etim also has a long list of awards and nominations within and outside Africa. Some of her wins are Best Actress in a Drama for Journey to Self at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards as well as a 2012 Nollywood Movies Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Lead Actress in an English Movie for Kiss and Tell and Phone Swap, respectively.

The dedicated 41 year-old has proven that hard work is a prerequisite to success. Although her name might be a mouthful for the “whitefolks,” Nse Ikpe Etim has a demure charisma that would certainly shine in Hollywood.
