5 unexpected times the black power fist was used and we’re digging it

Cartoon of Macklemore supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement…Timeline

The white rapping duo from Seattle

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, the rapping duo from Seattle, Washington called themselves – and other white artists out for perpetuating white privilege.

In the lyrics for the track “White Privilege II,” he raps, “I wanna take a stance because we are not free, and I thought about it, we are not we,” “Am I in the outside looking in? Or am I in the inside looking out?”

He goes on, “We wanna dress like, talk like, walk like, dance like, but we just stand by, we take all we want from black culture, but do we show up for black lives?”

Food for thought.
