Music has become a virtual web. The lives of many across the globe are changing due to the growth and dynamism of music.
From the 1900s up until the new millennium, African music has evolved and has become more Afrocentric, satisfying the hunger of an extended audience in Europe, America, and Asia.
This has, however, been made possible by some iconic African musicians who relinquished the baton to Nigeria’s Tu Face and D’Banj, Congo’s Awilo and Fally Ipupa, South Africa’s Uhuru and a few other pioneers who continued the struggle to export the African sound.
Their success has opened the door to a few other musicians to penetrate the global market.
