Dressing

The way we dress is an indicator of many things, including tribe, social class, religious class and so on.  Clothing such as the Kente, started off as royal cloth and set aside for special occasions. Others like the traditional Kikuyu skirt was worn specifically for everyday duties because of the freedom it provided the women.

Depending on the dressing, ornaments could be added that were symbolic to the occasion or the status of the wearer.
