McClinton was inspired into politics by Stacey Abrams, the first-ever black female nominee for governor in the U.S. on the ticket of the Democrats.
Abrams is a lawyer – Yale class of ‘99 — a writer under the pen name Selena Montgomery, a business consultant and co-founder of a beverage company that focuses on infants and toddlers. She told Glamour recently that she quit her company, however, to focus on her campaigns.
