Additionally, it’s crucial to look for nations and locations that welcome and embrace people of color when planning a vacation as a Black person. Some might decide to travel only within Africa, while others might decide to stay home and look for quaint spots to unwind.

With summer destinations in mind, here are 7 amazing vacation spots you need to visit.

Panama City, USA

Located on Florida’s Emerald Coast, Panama City Beach is referred to as “The Spring Break Capital of the World.”  

One can visit St. Andrews State Park, Shell Island, or Conservation Park for a more leisurely pace. Numerous top-notch golf courses can be found close by, and the lagoons and seas in the area of Panama City Beach are excellent for fishing and dolphin watching.

Panama, on the other hand, is not a cheap location, therefore, if plans involve a backpacking expedition or a low-budget vacation, Panama might not be the place to go.

Some of the activities that make this destination a tourist hub include, surfing, hiking, visiting the Panama Canal, the Panama islands, getting to know Panama’s history, etc.

Visitors to Accra, frequently use the words “safe” and “welcoming,” making it the ideal destination for Black people. Ghana’s capital and largest city, Accra, is situated on the Gulf of Guinea coast in western Africa. Known for its vibrant textiles, modern art, thriving nightlife, and entertaining scenes, the city was dubbed “Africa’s capital of cool” by the New York Times.

Accra is renowned for its distinctive architecture, strange museums, obnoxious traditional food, and a few undiscovered attractions.

Barbados, Caribbean

One of the world’s most unspoiled and distinctive places is the wonderful Caribbean Island of Barbados. It is well known for its magnificent beaches, glistening oceans, and vibrant culture. One can play golf, swim, snorkel, scuba dive, and engage in other activities on the island.

Barbados is famous for its pleasant weather all year long, with temperatures averaging between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius.

A must-visit location on the island is its capital, Bridgetown; the hub of many business operations. Bridgetown is the center of activity for the entire nation. 

Zanzibar, Tanzania

The idea that Zanzibar is just one island is a widespread one. In actuality, it is a collection of islands in the Indian Ocean. There are several smaller islands, as well as two bigger ones, including Unguja (also called Zanzibar informally) and Pemba Island. Mafia Island, which is a part of Tanzania’s Mafia Archipelago, is located further south. About 1.3 million people call Zanzibar their home.

Even by Southeast Asian standards, visiting the Philippines is affordable. Although some of the hotels may cost more than one would anticipate, overall, it is a very budget-friendly place to visit.

The Philippines is renowned for its far-flung beaches, vast forests, and a profusion of volcanoes. Despite the islands all sharing a love for nature, they are all very different from one another. The Philippines is also well known for both its historic, religious sites and its modern skyscrapers.  

Mexico

Mexico is famous for its beaches, ancient Mayan ruins, and delicious large portions of food. The country also provides numerous exports to the world, such as tequila, coffee, peppers, and chocolate.

It is a diverse nation with many different cities, some of which have beautiful coastlines and others which are rich in history and culture. Mexico City, the nation’s capital, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities; with Tenochtitlan, the ancient Aztec capital, as its backdrop, this city has a rich historical background, which explains why there are more than 1200 museums and galleries spread throughout.

Cancun, though, is one of Mexico’s busiest cities. This thriving, international city, along with Playa del Carmen, Cozumel Island, and the rest of the Mayan Riviera, was constructed primarily as a tourist destination.

Mexico is the Latin American nation with the most foreign visitors and is ranked #10 globally, according to World Tourism Organization reports.

South Africa

South Africa is a nation at the southernmost tip of the African continent that is distinguished by a number of unique ecosystems.

It is worth visiting for its diversity; each region offers a captivating mix of cosmopolitan cities, fascinating wildlife, deep history, and remote wilderness, each with its own unique personality and culture.

Big game can be found in Kruger National Park, a popular inland safari destination. Beaches, lush wine regions near Stellenbosch and Paarl, jagged cliffs at the Cape of Good Hope, forest and lagoons along the Garden Route, and the city of Cape Town, which is situated beneath Table Mountain, are all features of the Western Cape.

In summary, for those who appreciate nature and wildlife as well as ardent adventurers, South Africa is a paradise.
