Jonah Larson, the 17-year-old Ethiopian-born crocheting prodigy who was featured on Good Morning America for his talent, was arrested and charged after he allegedly had sex with a minor.
Per the New York Post, Larson was arrested on July 23 on suspicion of having sex with an individual under 16 with the use of force and for false imprisonment.
Larson made national headlines when he was 15 years old. He amassed over 300,000 followers on his Instagram account because of his crocheting prowess. He was also featured on Good Morning America and praised as a prodigy as well as a philanthropist to look out for.
Larson started learning crocheting at the age of five by watching videos on YouTube. The proceeds from his crocheting business are channeled toward education endeavors in his native Ethiopia.
Larson was booked at the La Crosse County Jail before he was later released after posting a $5,000 bond.
