Janelle Monáe and Marsai Martin
Born in Kansas City in 1985, singer Janelle Monáe began performing as a child and got her big break in 2005 when she was invited by Big Boi to perform on several OutKast tracks.
15-year-old Marsai Martin started acting at the age of 5. She became popular as an American actress and producer for her role as Diane Johnson in the ABC comedy series Black-ish.
Apparently, these two never knew they were cousins until recently. According to InStyle’s September issue, the two women found out that they were related at the Golden Globes after-party. So as it is, Martin is the older cousin to Monáe.
