Believe it or not, lack of rest can lead to increased fat storage. When you don’t get sufficient sleep, your body stays in a stressed state. This causes your hormones to spike up and down, thus the packing on of weight.  Sleep deprivation can also result in a negative change in how your body processes calories and sugar.
