Monument de Léopold Sédar Senghor

Credited as being the man who stabilised Senegal and co-founder of the Negritude movement, Léopold Sédar Senghor was one of Africa’s illustrious leaders.

The poet-president reigned during the country’s first 20 years after independence and this monument pays homage to his legacy. It is located opposite the museum built in his honor.
