2. Make Promises
A politician must also know how to make promises, big promises that you have no intention of fulfilling. Tell the people what you think they want to hear, tell them you will build roads, schools, and hospitals.
Promise to supply them with clean water and farm inputs — you could even go as far as promising to cultivate their farms for them.
The good thing is talk is cheap, so you can talk to your heart’s content. It doesn’t cost you anything and few, if any at all, will remember to hold you to your word.
