‘Leg short”

This phrase pops up when something or a person arrives too late.

‘Switcha’

A glass of lemonade is a nice way to cool down in the hot Bahamian sun. ‘Switcha’ is simple Lemonade made with limes instead of lemons.

‘What da wybe is?’

This phrase has variations depending on the tone of the conversation. Among the youth it simply means ‘What’s up?’ Nonetheless when someone says ‘wybin’ it connotes there is an argument or disagreement going on. ‘Wybe’ will let you know how bad a problem or situation is.
