A webseries created by and for Black millennials, the Grapevine is a platform where millennials of Afro-descent debate and share their differing opinions on current events, such as America’s recent elections, and other weighty subjects, such as colorism, mental illness, the bleaching epidemic, and more. Host and moderator Ashley Akunna created this digital show after noticing the absence of Black millennial voices in the mainstream media.
