Ghanaian Cedi: The cedi follows as the third most sought-after currency in Africa. With an exchange rate of $1 dollar to GH₵ 3.8350, the cedi is still making efforts against its continuous devaluation, which has been attributed to the import-led economy of Ghana, the country’s high inflation rates and the fall of cocoa exportation. Yet the cedi remains the highest denominated currency unit in Africa following the denomination exercise by the Central Bank in 2007.
