Egyptian Pound: This is the legal tender of Egypt, introduced way back in 1834.  With an exchange rate of  1EGP to $0.11268 dollar, the Egyptian Pound stands out as the fifth most sought-after currency in Africa. This pound held stable against the dollar in 2014, with an exchange rating on the average of 7.7 EGP to the dollar. However, it is still one of the fastest-depreciating currencies in Africa.
