Nicky Minaj – Red Lobster Waitress
The Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper’s rise to fame began after she came to the U.S. to pursue her music career. Despite the move, she had to work to make ends meet. After applying for several odd jobs, she finally gained employment as a waitress at a Red Lobster restaurant in the Bronx.
Speaking in an interview on GQ, the “Starships” rapper admitted that she was left traumatized by customers who would leave rude comments rather than tips on her shifts. She was eventually sacked for confronting a couple who had stolen her pen.
