Christmas in October is a black tie affair that provides the community with a unique opportunity to support children with special needs and those that are less fortunate children within the African Diaspora. The fourth annual Christmas in October event will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the Gold Bar in New York, NY from 1 PM to 6 PM.
With the purchase of one ticket, attendees will enjoy refreshments, music from Afro-Electronic Dance Music creator DJ Universe and live performances from local and international artists. The soiree also features special raffles of designer pieces and African artwork, as well as complimentary gift bags for the first 50 people to purchase tickets online.
Tickets are available now at www.raisinghopeafrica.org.
The beneficiary of Christmas in October 2014 is the Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS). FOCOS is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei. The mission of FOCOS is to provide optimum orthopedic care and improve quality of life in Ghana, Ethiopia, and other countries.
