The actual show included performances by a Ghanaian Albany based African dance group, as well as story time by Ekow King and poetry by ASA member Francesca. The contestants provided entertainment through their various talents from singing, dancing and spoken word. The aim of the event was to educate the Albany community about African culture and history as the contestants gave brief introductions of their countries and wore traditional attire from their respective countries.
