Despite his fame on the international stage, Wyclef couldn’t convince the people of Haiti of his competence after he decided to run for the office of president in 2010. Known for major hits across the globe, his eligibility was questioned because he could neither speak Creole, nor French.
It should be mentioned that he was instrumental in bringing aid to his home country after the devastating flood of 2010.
