Five famous people you probably didn’t know are from Zambia

Zambia gained independence from the United Kingdom on this day in 1964 under the watch of its first president, Kenneth Kaunda of the United National Independence Party (UNIP).

The country formerly called the Northern Rhodesia, is located in south-central Africa bordered by the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Angola. 

Zambia like several other African countries is ethnically diversified with a total of 73 ethnic groups.

One of the most urbanized countries in the region, 44 percent of its total population of 13, 092, 666 are concentrated in a few urban areas. Its citizens who are spread across the globe are making an impact in their various professions.
