Meja Mwangi

Mwangi, born in 1948, is regarded as one of Kenya’s leading novelists. His first published work Kill Me Quick was in 1973, which was about two boys who struggled with unemployment after high school and it won the Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature.

This award-winning author subsequently published 18 other works of literature on the history and social conditions of Kenya and worked in the film industry. He was into directing, screen writing, local management, and casting.
