The Memphis Rox Campus, a climbing gym in the Soulsville area, was founded in 2018.
“When you join Memphis Rox, you aren’t just joining a gym — you’re joining a community. Rooted in creating a culture of encouragement and empowerment both on and off the wall, we never turn anyone away, regardless of an inability to pay. Instead, we’ve reimagined currency. It’s not only about money, but empowerment: a willingness to give what one can, be it a helping hand or simply an encouraging word. Our members who can pay it forward do so to support access for those who can’t, but everyone can get involved. Five volunteer hours per month equate to a four-week membership,” the gym writes on its website.
